When EDF Energy wanted to showcase their new office in Central London, they approached GJG to provide an LED wall that interacted with personnel as they transitioned through the corridor. The wall was designed to mimic the movement of shoals of fish and subconsciously guide staff and visitors efficiently through the corridor.
Designed to display the underlying technical structure, the visible electronics reflect the technology and innovation behind the success of EDF Energy. GJG worked with the building's architect to design and implement the interactive wall which has been working successfully since 2005.
In line with EDF's Sustainable policies, GJG implemented energy efficient power solutionsto support the company's environmental ambitions.
GJG used sequencing to illuminate panels interactively as the system sensors identified team members walking by. The two interactive walls communicated to enable a continuous flow of light as people moved from the corridor to the reception area.
Working colabratively with the company architect, GJG designed and implemented this bespoke solution to echo the company's ethos and to reflect the corporate image of EDF.
